Biographical Sketch:
Benjamin J. Marsland obtained his Ph.D. from the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research, University of Otago, New Zealand, before becoming a postdoctoral fellow at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich, Switzerland. He is now an associate professor and the Head of Research in the Respiratory Division of the University Hospital in Lausanne (CHUV), Switzerland. His research interests include the crossover between immunology and microbiology, particularly within the context of neonatal development and lung diseases.
